My name is Kyla Huffman, and I am a freshman at Waldport High School with a growing passion for forestry and natural resource management. I am actively involved in my school’s forestry program, where I am developing skills in environmental stewardship, teamwork, and leadership, and I am committed to learning about sustainable practices and protecting natural ecosystems for future generations. As a State Officer, I am excited to represent my peers, promote forestry education, and inspire others to get involved in the field. I hope to create more events throughout the year that bring schools together and provide more opportunities to connect and build friendships, so forestry is not only about competition but also about community.
